Not too sure who that is behind the microphone, but Mason Kimmers, Bogus Slogan’s lead singer, learned to scream early and often.  Childhood did not come or go easy.  When music provided a road to self expression, Mason found that a good old yelp at the end of a chorus felt life affirming. It also seemed to inflame the female BS fans.

Cain’s Ballroom is a 1920s gem in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  An “auto barn” with a wooden dance floor that can hold 1800.  If you are really popular like Bob Willis & the Texas Playboys of the late 1930s, 5000 fans will demonstrate exactly what is ‘Standing Room Only.”

If the price is right, Bogus Slogan happily plays before any size of crowd.  Not always the bigger the better.  Which actually leads us to the band’s biggest challenge.  The night’s setlist.  BS had over 30 years of past recordings to choose from.  However this return to Cain’s was a nostalgic free for all as the band played exclusively from their County & Western chart topping album “Trouble in Mind.”
