Bogus Slogan Poster #00010 - Inside View
Time happily disappears into the past. Happily? Emotions? Time?
Great places, eras, moments get ‘lost.’ If you were ‘There’ you’ve got a memory or if you were too intoxicated – a ticket stub. The meme “if you remember the 60s, you weren’t there” might have a kernel of truth.
Thanks to recording tape and a few super8 cartridges a DVD was made of the one performance Bogus Slogan had in Austin, TX at the Vulcan Gas Company. Then you will be there. Turn it up loud and your neighbors will be there too. Make sure you have plenty of intoxicants on hand to share.
The Vulcan Gas Company did not serve alcohol. It also did not survive. Nor did the Psychedelic era. Albums “BeautifulLand” (1967) and “Inner Ripple” (1968) along with the EP “Universal Love” (1969) and some singles were Bogus Slogan’s contribution to the swirl of the 60s.
Next time you want to dream in color, put on “Play Time: {Bogus Slogan at the Vulcan Gas Company)” and remember you were not there?
