President Richard Nixon and Chairman Mao Zedong “normalized” relations between the two countries in the early 1970s. The government of China needed to find an economy for its growing population and the USA’s economy was wheeling out of control as the Viet Nam war machine died.

China’s communist government has as many incompetents, corrupted officials & fraudulent corporations as America.  But not as many dreamers. Some how capitalism and freedom reward ambition.  Of course capitalism also breeds incompetents, corrupted officials & fraudulent corporations.  The Ponzi scheme seems uniquely western.

Bogus Slogan snuck into China for a whirlwind tour of 7 cities in 10 days.  It can be assumed that the visit added to world peace.

Our cute navigating celestial-heaven person (astronaut) pre dates the Chinese space program’s entry into human flight by 4 decades.  But here she is comforting cat and dog as they are prepared for flight in a sounding rocket in 1964.
